To use the Romertopf soak top and bottom in water for 10-15 minutes, add ingredients, and place in a cold oven. Now just set the required cooking temperature and let the oven heat up gradually. Many times recipes can be converted for clay pots by increasing temperature by 100 degrees and deducting 1/2 hour of cooking time.
